Move to Level 2 – 12th August, 2020

Bay Counselling is open for face to face counselling. All counsellors will continue to offer phone and video counselling to any clients who would like this. In order to open our doors we are required implementing some changes that clients will need to be aware of: Please note – we do not offer a “drop in” service. Appointments must be made in advance by calling 07 578 0959.

Protocols for face to face counselling at Bay Counselling.

  • Sadly we will not be offering tea, coffee or water until further notice. Please bring a bottle of water with you and tea or coffee if you would like.
  • Sanitiser stations are on the outside of the building. We ask that you sanitise your hands before entering any buildings. Please also use the Covid-19 Tracer App
  • We will be retaining contact details of everyone who enters our buildings, in the unlikely event it is required for contact tracing. As with all our client information, this will be held on site. This will not be released unless absolutely necessary for tracing Covid-19. in the unlikely event we are required to release any contact information please be assured that the only information released will be names and phone/emails. No details of counselling will be released. Contact tracing relates only to visits to our building and does not apply to video or phone counselling. Your counsellor can help with any questions you have about this.

Please know that these actions sit uncomfortably with us. We value our manaakitanga and our hosting of clients, but at this time we must prioritise safety and the actions above are designed to keep everyone safe until we can return to business as normal.

You may be eligible for funding for some counselling sessions with us, if your medical practice is part of the PHO.  There is a formal referral process that is done following a consultation with your doctor.  Please check that your medical practice belongs to the PHO before booking an appointment with your GP to discuss this.
