I work with individual adults and teens and with a diverse range of issues, and offer both long and short term therapy options. I am passionate about empowering you to uncover and recover your strengths, to find strategies and solutions for managing and resolving the imbalance in your life. I provide a safe space for you to try out new ways of being, thinking and feeling. I offer support and guidance in working to manage your emotions in a healthy way. I would like to support you to explore your own reasoning and decision-making skills, helping you take action to move in a different direction and to gain increased independence and self-esteem.
My counselling approach:
My counselling style is genuine and down to earth, using an integrated approach to best suit your personal and unique needs. I utilise a range of counselling therapies to help support you towards a more fulfilling life. These include, Person Centred approach, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and a hint of Positive Psychology. I also offer supervision to anyone in the health profession.

A little about me
I settled in New Zealand over 20 years ago when I met and married a ‘kiwi’. I came here from England to have a new start and haven’t looked back. My previous career path was in travel and management, I have worked in corporate, health care and not for profit organisations. One thing that really brings me great pleasure is going for walks with my dog and my husband around the beautiful Bay of Plenty. I’ve also been known to enjoy reading, rugby, sailing, food – cooking & eating out!
